A1:       Toyota has clarified that there is a possibility that the warning light will illuminate and indicating to the driver that the VSC is not activated, operating the vehicle with an inoperative VSC system could increase the risk of a crash in certain driving conditions.

Q3:      What is ALJ going to do?

A3:       ALJ announce advising owners to make an appointment with his authorized Toyota dealer to reprogram the Brake Actuator ECU. The remedy will be performed at NO CHARGE to vehicle owners.

Q4:      Are there any warnings that this condition exists?

A4:       No. However, when the VSC system is not activated, a warning light on the instrument panel will be continuously displayed to the driver.

Q5:      How long will the repair take?

A5:      To reprogram the Brake Actuator ECU will take approximately 1 hour. It depends on the vehicles and the remedy. However, it may be necessary for the owner to make the vehicle available for a longer period of time depending upon the dealer’s schedule.
