Q1:      What is the condition?

A1:       Toyota has clarified that there is a possibility of cracks and breakage may occur on other spot-welds and/or on the body panels around the front shock absorber mounting areas resulting in a loss of vehicle driving stability, increasing the risk of crash.

Q2:      Which and how many vehicles are covered by this Customer Satisfaction Campaign?

A2:       There are 177 vehicles covered by this Special Service Campaign.

Q3:      What is ALJ going to do?

A3:       ALJ announce advising owners to make an appointment with his authorized Toyota dealer to inspect the fender apron and change it if necessary. The remedy will be performed at NO CHARGE to vehicle owners.

Q4:      Are there any warnings that this condition exists?

A4:       Initially, a driver may not experience any symptoms/warnings if the vehicle does not have the proper spot welding.  Over time, cracks and breakage may occur on other spot-welds and/or on the body panels around the front shock absorber mounting areas, leading to abnormal steering feeling.

Q5:      How long will the repair take?

A5:      To inspect the fender apron will take approximately 15 minutes but if need to replace  will take approximately 37 hours. It depends on the vehicles and the remedy. However, it may be necessary for the owner to make the vehicle available for a longer period
